Aside from the obvious, one of the thing that most people immediately notice about Barack Obama is his height. His slim figure makes him look much taller than he really is but don’t be fooled, his height is far from an illusion. There has been a lot of debate about his official height but most media sources report him at 6 1/2. Some who have shaken his hand say he must be taller while others report that he looks shorter in person, really the only way you’ll be able to judge for yourself is to see him with your own eyes.

With the Democratic nomination nearly locked Barack Obama now faces another challenge, choosing his vice presidential candidate. The young senator from Illinois will need somebody who brings both foreign and economic experience but at the same time won’t over shadow his own presidency. Joe Biden is a perfect match but many people are skeptical that a ticket with two senators would be able to win over voters, for this reason General Wesley Clark’s name has frequently popped up as has Mike Bloomberg the Independent mayor of New York City. And of course the most talked about VP choice is senator Clinton, although many are quick to label this as the “dream ticket” Clinton does have her own problems. It’s no secret how much she is hated by the republican party and having her on the ticket just may motivate the base enough to vote for McCain who they aren’t too excited about. Another problem with a Clinton VP is that it would contradict everything Obama is working for, he is looking to move the nation forward with change but there’s nothing more established or more status quo than the Clintons.
